Studies In Interpretive, Statistical, Measurement and Evaluative Methodologies For Education (Queries)
Working in four areas – measurement, statistics, evaluation, and research design - Queries faculty and students are concerned with developing and applying new methodologies and becoming involved with multiple research activities, both within the Department of Educational Psychology and the College of Education, as well as across the larger campus. Our students are in high demand for teaching and research assistantships, and when they graduate their positions in the public and private sector include measurement analysts, testing and evaluation directors, statistical specialists, and University faculty. Current research includes measuring the quality of life for medical patients, assessment-based standards and reform, the intersections of social science and social policy, democratic evaluation approaches, and philosophical issues in interpretive methodolgies.
In additional to accepting applications for our Ph.D. program, the Department of Educational Psychology is accepting applications for an on-campus Master of Science (MS) degree, with a focus on Studies in Interpretive, Statistical, Measurement, and Evaluative Methodologies for Education (QUERIES). The department is also accepting applications for an online Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Evidence Based Decision Making.
