Breakthrough Learning - Innovative Programs

The Illinois Experience—Wherever You Are!

The College of Education is committed to offering breakthrough learning and innovative programs that make the Illinois experience accessible to everyone—whether you live right here in Urbana-Champaign, in California, or in Thailand. With so many Education online programs to choose from, you’re just a decision away from joining the University of Illinois!

An excellent professional development solution for working professionals, you can earn a prestigious University of Illinois degree while still continuing on with your career. We understand the work/life/school balance, so most of our first-rate programs can be completed in two years or less. Many of our programs only require completion of 32 credit hours, typically eight 4-credit hour courses.

The College implemented its first online degree program in 1998, so we have a long, successful history in e-learning. We use the same identical high standards for both our online and face-to-face courses. As an Education online student, you’ll receive a full range of support services, including academic advising, full access to the University of Illinois Library, writing support, and disability services. FROM OUR STUDENTS

Rachel Fruin"I've loved the online program. The synchronous class sessions have allowed me and my classmates to participate more than in a regular classroom environment. The professors really encourage class participation and collaboration. I think I've gotten to know my classmates better than if we were actually in a classroom. The professors give reasonable deadlines so it's easy to keep up with the material as long as you are doing all of the assignments. The convenience of going to class in your own home makes working and going to school manageable. You can get the degree you want without having to drive a far distance to class."
