All students who intend to graduate must apply to graduate via the "Graduation" tab in the Banner Self-Service System by the deadlines indicated below.
Candidates eligible to participate in the College of Education Convocation ceremony include:
August 2024 graduates
December 2024 graduates
May 2025 degree candidates
August 2025 degree candidates who meet the stipulations below (Please be aware that your name will not appear in the printed program until May 2026 Convocation.)
Bachelor's Degree Candidates
Bachelor's Degree Candidateswith
13 or fewer hours remaining who expect to complete their degree
requirements in August 2025 are eligible to participate in the
university-wide Commencement ceremony and the College of Education Convocation ceremony.
Students who have not yet indicated their intention to graduate should contact the undergraduate Admission and Records Officer for the College of Education immediately.
Master's and Certificate of Advanced Study Degree Candidates
Master's and Certificate of Advanced Study Degree Candidates
with eight or fewer hours remaining who expect to complete their degree
requirements in August 2025 are eligible to participate in the
university-wide Commencement ceremony and the College of Education Convocation ceremony.
Master's and Certificate of Advanced Study Degree Candidates who anticipate completing degree requirements to graduate in summer 2025 will need to add themselves to the August 2025 Degree List via the "Graduation" tab in the Banner Self-Service System and then submit a College of Education Exception Request form to request participation in the May 2025 College of Education Convocation.
Doctoral Degree Candidates
Doctoral Degree Candidates who deposit their dissertation to the Graduate College Thesis Office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, are eligible to participate in the College of Education Convocation ceremony.
Doctoral Degree Candidates who deposit after the May 2 deadline, but no later than May 10, will need to add themselves to the August 2025 Degree List via the "Graduation" tab in the Banner Self-Service System and then submit a College of Education Exception Request form to request participation in the May 2025 Convocation.
