Global Studies in Education (GSE) is a transformative academic program that offers a comprehensive exploration of the intersection between global change and education through the lenses of social justice and critical democracy perspectives. Rooted in a commitment to equity and inclusivity, this program provides students with a deep understanding of the complex dynamics shaping educational systems worldwide. By focusing on the globalization of policy, students critically analyze the impact of international policies and frameworks on educational equity, access, and quality. Furthermore, the program delves into pedagogical practices across diverse contexts, including the rapidly evolving landscape of online education, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to design culturally responsive and inclusive learning experiences. Additionally, with a spotlight on children and youth studies, students gain insights into the unique challenges and opportunities faced by young learners in a globalized world, exploring strategies to promote their holistic development and well-being. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will earn a prestigious Master of Education (EdM) degree in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership with a specialized concentration in Global Studies in Education, empowering them to lead initiatives that promote educational equity, social justice, and positive change on a global scale.
