Speaker Information: Sabina Vaught

Description: Sabina Vaught is professor and director of the Kinloch Commons for Critical Pedagogy and Leadership at the University of Pittsburgh. Her most recent book, The School-Prison Trust (University of Minnesota Press, 2022), co-authored with Bryan Brayboy and Jeremiah Chin, follows a young man named Jakes through a constellation of stories of Indigenous self-determination in the face of ongoing conquest. 

The event will be co-moderated by EPOL Postdoctoral Research Associate Jennifer Johnson (Seminole/Sac & Fox) and EPOL Ph.D. candidate, Nathan Tanner. Please join us for a lively conversation! Food will be served. A pdf of the book is available online at no cost
