Event Description:

Join us for an interactive workshop designed to help College of Education faculty, teaching assistants, and staff create and edit accessible Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. Whether you use Windows or Mac, this session will provide essential strategies for ensuring your slides are inclusive for all students, including those who rely on assistive technologies.

Session Highlights:

• Evaluate Slide Accessibility – Learn how to assess and improve the accessibility of your PowerPoint presentations.
• Apply Slide Structure & Layouts – Use accessible slide layouts, headings, and lists to enhance readability and screen reader compatibility.
• Create Meaningful Hyperlinks – Improve navigation with clear and descriptive link text.
• Add Alternative Text for Visuals – Ensure images, charts, and graphs are accessible with properly formatted alternative text.
• Enhance Slide Properties – Apply titles, metadata, and other document properties to improve accessibility and organization.
• Utilize Accessibility Tools – Explore PowerPoint’s built-in accessibility checker and best practices for color contrast.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
