The Cancer Education and Management in Underrepresented & Diverse Communities program is designed to train individuals, including cancer researchers, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders, who are or aspire to be involved in developing and implementing cancer management solutions. Through a collaborative partnership with the Cancer Center at Illinois, this graduate certificate program aims to provide comprehensive interdisciplinary training to address the complex challenges of cancer management in underrepresented communities. It emphasizes the importance of multi-faceted approaches and draws upon cutting-edge cancer research and innovative educational strategies to promote the integration of evidence-based practices into routine cancer management. The program covers foundational knowledge and competencies in diversity and health disparities, human interactions and communications, cancer biology and diseases, and the implementation and evaluation of cancer management innovations.
