Global Studies in Education (GSE) is a multifaceted field that examines the intersection of global change and education through the lenses of social justice and critical democracy. Delving into complex issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion, the program emphasizes the globalization of educational policies and practices while advocating for transformative approaches rooted in principles of fairness and empowerment. With a focus on critical pedagogy, students explore diverse educational contexts, including the evolving landscape of online learning environments, and engage in nuanced discussions surrounding children and youth studies. By enrolling in this program, students embark on a journey toward earning a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership with a specialized concentration in Global Studies in Education.
