Doctoral graduate of College to lead international affairs and global strategies at University

Reitumetse Obakeng Mabokela, Ph.D. '98 EPOL, has been named the vice provost for international affairs and global strategies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Mabokela is the assistant dean for international studies in education at Michigan State University and co-director of its Global Center for Food Systems Innovation. She is expected to start in her new position at the U of I on Jan. 16.
