College hosting book drive to support bookstore

by College of Education at Illinois / Aug 16, 2016

The College of Education is hosting a book drive to support a local non-profit bookstore, Orphan’s Treasure Box. Orphans Treasure Box collects donated used books and sell them online and in their retail outlet to support orphans and vulnerable kids both locally and internationally.

Textbooks and teaching resources bring in a lot of revenue for Orphan’s Treasure box, and enable them to increase their giving exponentially. As you prepare for the fall semester, would you consider going through your bookshelves and donating those books that are just taking up space?

Here are the details:

What: Used Textbook Collection

When: August 16 through September 2

Where: Collection boxes will be located in 120 Education (School and Community Experiences)

Questions: Contact Sunny McMurry at koerber@illinois.edu
