Hear from a panel of Illinois College of Education alumni working in human resource development who each will speak briefly about their career paths and how their education prepared them for their careers. We will break out into smaller group discussions in breakout rooms so people can ask informal questions and network. Alumni will also offer advice for folks trying to aim their careers in the direction of human resource development.

Alumni Panelists:

Teresa La is Instructional Designer at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She works with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to develop online courses on the ethics of clinical research for the scientific community at MGH and MGB-wide. She says,  "I enjoy leveraging innovative and groundbreaking learning technologies to develop and deliver courses and improve learning outcomes. I am currently leading the customization, development and implementation of the Moodle LMS system for my organization’s LMS solution". She has a master's from the department of Education Policy, Organization & Leadership with a concentration in Human Resource Development.

Anthony Williams, CWO4(Ret), USN,  Ed.M. is a Program Specialist (State Approving Agent) in the Texas Veterans  Commission. He serves as a member of the Veterans Education Department, as the State Approving Authority for Department of Veteran Affairs veteran education benefits. He earned a master's from the department of Education Policy, Organization & Leadership with a concentration in Human Resource Development.
