Extensive student support services are available to students at the University level. These include counseling services, career services, legal aid, rehabilitation services, housing services, medical services, and services to international students. Counseling services are provided through McKinley Health Center. Given the potential for practicum placement at the University of Illinois of Counseling Center, counseling for Mental Health Counseling Program students is not available with this agency. The Counseling Psychology Program maintains a list of counseling referrals in the local community if students wish to seek services off-campus.
Career Services
University students have access to The Career Center on campus that provide assistance in career coaching, resume and cover letter writing, preparing of interviews and many other services and workshops. Students are encouraged to not only seek out faculty for support but also these resources at the Career Center.
Subject specialists at the libraries are here to help students conduct robust research searches when writing research papers and provide support navigating the library resources.
Student Legal Services
Student Legal Services is available to all students who are assessed the Urbana campus Service Fee.
Attorneys can help students with concerns such as housing/tenant issues, traffic tickets, auto accidents and insurance problems, small claims, misdemeanor charges, notary services, name changes, and many more.

Campus Recreation
Full-time Illinois students are automatically members of Campus Recreation and have access to all Campus Recreation facilities (Activities and Recreation Center, Campus Recreation Center East, and Ice Arena) and may enter any facility with their i-card or Illinois App QR code.
McKinley Health Center
McKinley Health Center is the medical facility on campus that provides physical and mental health services for students. Full-time students of the University are automatically assess the Health Service Fee which covers most services provided by McKinley Health Center (office visits, gynecology visits, mental health visits, health education, radiology, etc.).
Students are also able to use the McKinley Pharmacy to access an approved list of medications at affordable prices.
