The Role of Context-Specific Questions in the Evaluations of STEM Learning Exchange Programs

Champaign , USA
Education Building, Room 333

Education Building, Room 333

Speaker Luisa Maria Rosu will talk about the role of context-specific questions in the evaluations of STEM learning exchange programs at this College of Education at Illinois lecture.

Speaker: Luisa Maria Rosu

In recent years, STEM learning exchange programs have gained increasing attention as the typical partnerships between P-20 education and workforce systems. Though they enjoy a favorable reputation and are valued by all involved stakeholders, little is known about the apparatuses to guide these collaborative efforts, and their specific contexts remain to be explored.

Context-specific questions in program evaluation frame the discussions concerning the quality of outcomes, learning experiences, and design models. The case studies of two STEM learning exchange partnerships with distinct contextual features will be presented at this lecture.
