Liane Hentschke

Liane Hentschke is a Professor of Music Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, (UFRGS) at Porto Alegre, Brazil. She received her Master and PhD degree at the University of London, Institute of Education. She was the Director of the National Research Council and Vice-Rector of International Affairs of UFRGS. Other positions include presidency of the International Society for Music Education; and Vice-President of the International Music Council, advisory body for music to UNESCO. Professor Hentschke’s areas of expertise include teacher education, formal and non-formal music education, motivation, and digital technology in music education. She has presented invited talks in Universities in Brazil, England, United States, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan, mainland China, Thailand, South Korea, Norway, Argentina, Venezuela, and Chile.
