Putting oneself in the shoes of a fictional character can help develop coping skills to heal from trauma. This session includes the following: 

  • Basic characteristics of trauma 
  • Group discussion of various coping skills 
  • Lively read-alouds to demonstrate how story supports these skills 
  • A link to a comprehensive book list.
