Visiting Projects Manager for Simulation and Learning Research

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a Visiting Projects Manager for Simulation and Learning Research.  This position will assist with the management of two large-scale research and development projects funded by the National Science Foundation. Both projects involve research on how middle school and high school students reason about important topics in science and engineering, and designing new computer simulation environments that support student learning. The position may become non-visiting in the future.

The proposed starting date is summer 2015.  Closing date for application submission is January 9, 2015.

Visiting Software Engineer for Educational Technologies Research

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction seeks a Visiting Software Engineer for Educational Technologies Research.  This position will serve as the lead software engineer and game developer for two large-scale research and development projects funded by the National Science Foundation. Both projects involve the design and development of new computer simulation environments that support science and engineering education.

This is a full-time 12-month, non-tenured visiting academic professional position.  The position may become non-visiting in the future.

Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Mathematics Education

The College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a fellow for the Postdoctoral Research Training Program in Mathematics Education, funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), U.S. Department of Education.  This one-year position offers collaborative and independent research opportunities. The program prepares fellows to address questions relevant to access and equity in mathematics education, broadly defined, in a methodologically rigorous manner.

Assistant/Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Stewardship

The College of Education is seeking an Assistant/Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Stewardship. The position will be responsible for managing and increasing the number of alumni volunteers and creating robust programming that will increase alumni engagement levels to inspire alumni financial support. This position will also manage the stewardship strategy for all College of Education donors, working closely with the Dean's Office, the Communications Office, Business Office, department heads, faculty and staff.

The starting date is as soon as possible after closing date of January 14, 2015.
