What is the focus of your scholarship?
My work focuses broadly on how children learn with and through representations such as drawings and diagrams. I often explore these questions by designing and developing innovative learning technologies to help students represent their ideas in new ways including network visualization and new forms of computer models. I am also an Activity Theorist, deeply interested in how the different ways that we organize and re-organize activities including teacher prompts, roles for students, and software tools helps re-organize the ways that learners think, learn, and act.
Congratulations! You've taken the first step to becoming a student of the College of Education. The application process is different for undergraduate and graduate studies.
