The College of Education at Illinois' overall Graduate Education programs ranking climbed four spots—tied at no. 32 in the nation—out of 456 schools ranked.

In its most recent rankings release, U.S. News & World Report also gave high marks to four individual departments' graduate programs within the College:

     •  Curriculum & Instruction: #10
     •  Education Policy: #18
     •  Educational Psychology: #5
     •  Special Education: #6
