7: UIUC Email
Once you complete this section, you should be able to
- Use or redirect your UIUC email account
- Send email with an attachment
As an UIUC (online) student, you must have access to your UIUC email account (@illinois.edu). You can either use your UIUC email account directly or have it redirected to another account (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo). You will receive email messages in this account from instructors, TAs, other students, LDL support, and the University. It is crucial that you have access to UIUC email.
This section contains two options for using/accessing your UIUC email, please choose one and complete the instructions:
- Redirect your UIUC email to another account. If you want all UIUC email forwarded to another account, click here.
- Use UIUC Express email. If you would like to use the University's free web browser-based email service, you will first need to obtain an email password. For instructions on getting a password, see Getting Started with Express Email. After obtaining a password, you may wish to view the complete Express Email tutorial.
As an alternative, if you prefer to access UIUC email from a program like Eudora or MS Outlook, you can view the online tutorial for setting up one of these programs. Eudora is free from the student software site.
