Grade Reporting: 10-Week

10-Week Terms Grade Reporting Guidelines

Faculty and Online Coordinators - Please work with your department's designated Banner staff member to access the DMI forms.

Term 1 (Spring: ~Jan 14 - Mar 23)

  • Students should receive unofficial grades (Moodle) from instructor by April 1
  • Grades should be officially submitted (Banner/Web for Faculty) at the end of the campus Spring semester

Term 2
(Spring: ~Apr 14 - Jun 22)

  • Note: Grades for Spring are due in May which is during the Term 2 course
  • The Records Office has given us permission to use the following grades submission process instead of the paper Supplemental Grade Change forms. If a term ends after the campus semester, a grade roster is downloaded in Excel from the DMI student rosters and the faculty member simply enters the grade. A paper copy of that grade roster with the instructor and dept head signatures is then forwarded to the Records office.
  • The below steps will have to be completed by August 1:
  1. Go to: http://www.dmi.uiuc.edu/
  2. Select "Section/Instructor list & Rosters for Dept. Staff"
  3. Under the section title "consolidated roster" choose your dept and term
  4. Sort file to include the course needed
  5. Format it to Records office specifications (see example attached)
  6. Email it to the faculty member and have faculty member add the grades
  7. Print the final roster, get signatures and mail to Becky Wauthier (wauthier@illinois.edu) / Aleta Crook (crook2@illinois.edu) at OAR (901 W. Illinois, MC-061).

Note: Some departments also save an electronic copy of the grade roster for their records in case they need to mail "grade" paper letters for the students who get reimbursed by their companies.

Term 3 (Summer: ~July 14 - Sept 21)

  • Note: Grades for Summer are due in August which is during the Term 3 course
  • The Records Office has given us permission to use the following grades submission process instead of the paper Supplemental Grade Change forms. If a term ends after the campus semester, a grade roster is downloaded in Excel from the DMI student rosters and the faculty member simply enters the grade. A paper copy of that grade roster with the instructor and dept head signatures is then forwarded to the Records office.
  • The below steps will have to be completed by October 1:

Term 4 (Fall: ~Oct 6 - Dec 14)

  • No difference here between 10-week and full semester courses. Term 4 falls entirely within the campus Fall semester and grades are due at the end of the Term/Semester around one week after the last day of class.
