Educational research at Illinois takes many forms, but it is inherently collaborative, often entailing small groups of faculty, students, and staff working on a specific problem or exploring a particular topic. Many of these research groups are faculty-created and led to provide support and resources for students and emerging scholars. Some projects are externally-funded, recruit research assistants and work with other campus units. Others are simply research affinity groups that meet to discuss papers or innovations in the field.
