The master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Trauma-informed Practice and Pedagogy will introduce students to the incidence, impact, and causes of trauma in children including individual traumas, and systems of oppression, bias, and discrimination present in our education system. Participants will learn to recognize the signs of trauma and how to use equity-centered trauma-informed practices, while recognizing and seeking to eliminate the causes of trauma in their circle of influence and in the larger education system.
