Social Sciences & Education Policy

Social Sciences & Education Policy offers an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates the knowledge, research and literature of sociology, political science, anthropology and cultural studies, for a multidisciplinary focus on the social context of educational policy and practice, particularly in terms of questions of social justice, within formal and informal contexts of teaching and learning.

Typical Plan of Study (minimum 32 hours)

Select 1 Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership Foundations Course

4 hours

Electives in Education with advisor approval

12 hours

Sample of elective courses, courses should be chosen in consultation with advisor. 595 independent study can be applied up to a maximum of 8 hours.
