Certificate of Specialization
Diversity & Equity in Education
Diversity & Equity in Education certificate of specialization is social-justice focused and provides educators with transformative approaches for diversity and equity issues within P-16 learning environments.
Typical Plan of Study (12 hours)
Select 2 Core Courses
- EPOL 474: Diversity in the Workplace
- EPOL 517: Race, Gender & Sexuality Issues (crosslisted with EPS 536)
- EPOL 531: Diversity, Leadership & Policy (crosslisted with EOL 568)
- EPOL 562: Diversity in Higher Education
- SPED 514: Equity Issues in Spec Educatio
Certificates of Specialization are issued by the Illinois College of Education but are non-transcriptable. To receive your certificates, once you have completed the course work, please contact the Office of Online Programs.
