Mathematics, Science, & Engineering Education (MSE)

The Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education program area focuses on research in mathematics, science, and engineering education. Our graduate degrees offer the advantage of establishing connections between research and practice. We promote interdisciplinary research and collaborative partnerships that will enhance your educational preparation.

Typical Plan of Study (32 hours)

Select 1 Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership Foundations Course

4 hours

400- or 500-level Electives with advisor approval

12 hours

595 independent study can be applied up to a maximum of 8 hours.  599 thesis research does not count towards this requirement.

Electives in Education with advisor approval

12 hours

Sample of elective courses, courses should be chosen in consultation with advisor. 595 independent study can be applied up to a maximum of 8 hours.
