Language & Literacy

Language & Literacy Education (L&L) encourages students to explore both the broad issues facing language and literacy education today, and to delve deeply into one of more emphasis areas through coursework and independent research.

Typical Plan of Study (32 hours)

Select 1 Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership Foundations Course

4 hours

Additional 400- or 500-level Electives with advisor approval

12 hours

599 thesis research credit and 595 independent study can be applied up to a maximum of 8 hours.

Electives in Education with advisor approval

12 hours

Courses should be chosen in consultation with advisor. 599 thesis research credit not included.
