  • SPED 450 Introduction to Early Childhood Special Education

Spring Semester Year One

  • CI 420 Foundations in Early Childhood Education
  • CI 424 Child Development & Technology
  • CI 443 Mathematics and Early Childhood Education
  • CI 466 Language Literacy in Early Childhood Education II
  • 500 level course in Education (chosen in consultation with advisor)

Summer Semester Year One

  • EPOL foundations course (chosen in consultation with advisor) (can be online)

Fall Semester Year Two

  • CI 421 Principles and Practices of Early Childhood
  • CI 522 Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary : Curriculum in Context
  • SPED 414 Assessment in Early Childhood Special Education
  • SPED 465 Curriculum and Methods in Early Childhood Special Education 
  • EDPR 550 School and Community Experiences (Practicum/Field Placement in preschool)

Spring Semester Year Two

  • CI 445 Science and Social Studies Inquiry
  • EDPR 432 Educational Practice in Early Childhood and Elementary Education (Student Teaching)

Minimum GPA Requirements

  • Content and Professional Education GPA: 2.5
  • Graduate GPA: 3.0
  • Note: State rules mandate that no course with a grade lower than C- can be used towards licensure, endorsement, or approvals.
