Saadeddine Shehab was a middle and high school chemistry teacher for seven years before joining the Ph.D program. His research focuses on collaborative interactions and the role of the teacher in facilitating these interactions in face-to-face student-centered classrooms. His current dissertation work is on exploring the strategies that teaching assistants are using to implement collaborative problem solving in undergraduate engineering classrooms and the impact of these strategies on students’ interactions.
