Effective AI Integration for Classroom Teachers is a job-embedded microcredential designed for working K-12 teachers in Illinois. Across four modules, you will build four professional documents you can put to use immediately: a classroom AI use policy addressing data privacy and academic integrity, an AI-integrated lesson or unit plan grounded in your subject area, a student and family communication package, and a reflective analysis of your own AI integration journey. All coursework is completed asynchronously through Canvas and CyberScholar, an AI-powered platform built at the University of Illinois, where you create your projects and receive formative feedback grounded in Illinois legislation and current research before submitting for instructional evaluation. Enrollment is rolling, with up to 12 months to complete the work at your own pace. Your 40 Professional Development Hours are reported to ISBE within 14 business days of course completion.
