Overview

Language & Literacy Education (L&L) encourages students to explore issues related to cultural and linguistic diversity, bilingual/ESL education, children's literature, and reading and writing in the classroom and community. Students can complete coursework towards the state of Illinois Bilingual/ESL endorsement. The program prepares educators to engage critically in scholarship that impacts policies and practices in local and global contexts.
