What is the focus of your scholarship?

My research focus area is leadership, governance, and administrative practices, with a particular focus on HBCUs and MSIs. I’m also interested in the role of boards in achieving educational equity, how leadership is exercised, constructed, and viewed in various communities, and the relationship between Black women and leadership. In terms of expertise, my research is at the intersection of organizational behavior, organizational decision-making, and organizational culture and how these three areas impact achieving equity.
