U.S. News & World Report's 2024 Best Graduate Schools Rankings Released

Education at Illinois' graduate programs are perennially ranked among the nation's best, and this year is no exception.

Among 172 public universities ranked, Education at Illinois was ranked #12 for Best Overall Graduate School and #34 among the 255 public and private universities combined that submitted data for the rankings.

In its rankings release, U.S. News & World Report gave high marks to all eight of the College of Education’s on-campus graduate programs that it evaluated, with our departments of Curriculum & Instruction, Special Education, and Educational Psychology securing spots in the top 10, nationally.

  • #14  Elementary Teacher Education program
  • #14  Educational Administration program
  • #16  Secondary Teacher Education program
  • #18  Education Policy program

Additionally, the College's overall Online Master's in Education Degree Programs were ranked #7 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in January of this year.
