Lindsay Duffy, an elementary education major, has wanted to visit Australia since the seventh grade. So when she found out she'd be studying abroad Down Under through the College of Education, she “did a little happy dance.”
Duffy, a junior from Orland Park, Illinois, was among 26 Education students who studied in Australia this past summer. As with previous study trips organized by the College that took Illinois students to destinations such as Argentina, China, and South Africa, each participant received a $500 scholarship toward her or his travel expenses.
