What is Cuba's approach to literacy and computer literacy, and where might Scratch, and UIUC, enter the picture?
Associate Professor Kate Williams (iSchool, formerly GSLIS) co-authored a biography of Cuba's most senior leading librarian, Roots and Flowers: The Life and Work of Afro-Cuban Librarian Marta Terry González; brought Dr. Terry here as a MillerComm visitor in 2015; and is co-editing an issue of Library Trends about Cuba. Her research focuses on community informatics.
