Here is a bio for Dr. Sheila Song:
Sheila Song is a Senior Instructional Designer at Columbia University, School of Professional Studies. Her work at Columbia involves designing effective and engaging learning experiences, leading the Learning Analytics Group, conducting online learning research, and disseminating best practices contributing to innovations in teaching and learning with technology. Sheila is also a lecturer in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Rutgers University, where she teaches master’s and certificate programs.
Sheila obtained her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Cognition, Instruction, and Learning Technology from the University of Connecticut. Her research focuses on student motivation and engagement, problem-based learning, and technology-integrated teaching and learning.
