Speaker Information: Dr. Carol Lee, Professor Emerita at Northwestern, president-elect National Academy of Education

Dr. Carol Lee, Professor Emerita of Education in the School of Education and Social Policy and in African-American Studies at Northwestern University, and president-elect of the National Academy of Education, will discuss with participants, Addressing Systemic Racism Through Justice and Equity: The Role of Faculty at a Community-Engaged, Empowered University.  Registration is required.

 

This new Dean's Distinguished Speaker Series aims to facilitate conversation with preeminent scholars in education on the topic of the speaker series, Addressing Systemic Racism Through Justice and Equity: The Role of Faculty at a Community-Engaged, Empowered University.  Considering our historic and current University efforts related to community engagement and our role as faculty in this current (inter)national moment where issues of racial and social inequality are so very present, the speaker series aims to engage the role of faculty on the series topic.
