Event Type: Other

Gain a deeper understanding of the complex systems and structural barriers that impact successful reentry after incarceration. Students, educators, service providers, employers, and community members are all welcome.

This interactive learning experience explores the systems, policies, and institutions that shape the reentry process following incarceration. Through a guided simulation and facilitated discussion, participants will examine how multiple systems including housing, employment, education, healthcare, transportation, supervision, and identification requirements—can intersect to create challenges during the first 90 days after release.

The Reentry Simulation is not intended to replicate or represent any one person's lived experience. Rather, it is designed to encourage thoughtful dialogue about the structural barriers that influence successful reentry and to inspire participants to consider how they, their organizations, and their communities can help create more equitable pathways forward.

Cost: Free
