The admission process to the College of Education, Department of Special Education depends on what type of degree you are seeking (graduate or undergraduate) and what field of study you want to pursue. Undergraduate Admissions in Special Education
Applicants with interest in admission to an the Undergraduate Program in Special Education should submit an application to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Undergraduate applications, requirements, and admissions procedures can be obtained through the Office of Admissions and Office of the Registrar . Potential students are encouraged to contact the Student Academic Affairs Office for more information pertaining to undergraduate programs in the College of Education.

Master's Degree Programs

Doctoral Degree Program
Applications to our Doctoral Program are due January 7th to be considered for full funding and competitive scholarships. However, doctoral applications can be submitted any time up until April 1st with consideration for funding if assistantships are still available.
