Welcome to School and Community Experiences at the College of Education
School and Community Experiences coordinates all aspects of field placements for student teachers leading to Illinois Licensure in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education. We also provide assistance to and collaboration among all parties involved in the teacher licensure process on behalf of I-TEACH I-LEAD within the College of Education.
On August, 1, 2014, the Office of Clinical Experiences joined the I-TEACH I-LEAD program in an effort to centralize all teacher education services for our licensure candidates. As a result, the Office of Clinical Experiences has been renamed School and Community Experiences and joins other student services office under the umbrella of I-TEACH I-LEAD.
In addition to the renaming of our office, we have a new physical location in the College of Education. We hope you will visit us on the first floor in 120 Education. All School and Community Experiences staff are housed in this general location.
For the time being, all phone numbers and e-mail addresses remain the same, and we have updated current forms to reflect any pertinent changes so far. As other changes are finalized, we will continue to communicate those to all stakeholders.
If you have any questions, please contact Jay Mann, Director of School and Community Experiences.
