Evidence Based Decision Making (EBDM) provides students with an array of skills and competencies needed to work effectively in schools and public and private organizations that are committed to data-driven and evidence-based decision making. These skills and competencies can broadly be labeled “data literacy’” and include a basic understanding of applied quantitative research methodologies and approaches to program and policy evaluation, as well as competencies in the critical appraisal of data and evidence.
