Clinical Experiences' Davida Bluhm wins publication award

by The College of Education / Nov 18, 2011

Davida Bluhm, career services coordinator in the Office of Clinical Experiences, recently won the  Research/Publications Award from the American Association for Employment in Education (AAEE). The national award honors individuals for outstanding efforts in research and/or publications.

Bluhm won the award for two articles she wrote for the 2011 Job Search Handbook, titled "Opportunities Where You Would Least Expect Them" and "Dress for Success." The "Opportunities" article explored areas of economic growth in the U.S. to determine where job opportunities might exist.

The Job Search Handbook is published annually and includes numerous articles filled with helpful information related to the educator’s job search including the job search itself, interviewing, and résumés, to name a few.  It also includes current supply and demand information for K-12 educators across the country.

"The Job Search Handbook published by AAEE is a very valuable tool for education students as they embark on their job search journey," Bluhm said. "I am so honored to receive this national award from my colleagues in career services and school districts."
