Obama's education policies examined in new book edited by EPOL professor

Professor Eboni Zamani-Gallaher is the editor of the new book The Obama Administration and Educational Reform, published by Emerald Group Publishing Ltd. Prominent scholars within the book reflect on President Barack Obama’s impact on education, examining a broad range of policy issues, including early childhood education, the school-to-prison pipeline, and gainful employment regulations.

The Obama Administration and Educational ReformAccording to Zamani-Gallaher, the book “examines the problems, politics, and potential solutions extended by the Obama administration that have a dynamic relationship with the educational enterprise.”

Professor Debra D. Bragg, director of the Office of Community College Research and Leadership, also contributes to the book by analyzing the influence of the Great Recession on Obama’s college completion and economic recovery program, as well as his strategy for global workforce competitiveness.

The book is the 10th volume in the series Advances in Education in Diverse Communities: Research, Policy, and Praxis.
