Eight Education faculty and administrators from four public research universities in Indonesia are visiting UIUC as part of a five-year development project funded by USAID. The purpose of the HELM project (Higher Education Leadership and Management) is to expand and strengthen the public higher education sector in Indonesia and, specifically, to assist in strenghtening academic programs that educate the next generation researchers and leaders, affect change in institutional and government policy, and provide outreach and professional development to current and future higher education policy makers, administrators, and faculty.
The focus of the visit is on online learning and teaching, including online policy, pedagogy, administration, infrastructure, curriculum, delivery options, instructor/student preparation, and evaluation.
