Online Programs at the College of Education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites you to attend a virtual presentation on getting published by a current student and an alumnus from the College of Education Online programs. This event features two of the co-editors from the Journal of Learning Design and Leadership (JLDL). The JLDL Committee is a volunteer organization that includes Learning Design and Leadership graduate students and alumni. Aurore Bargat and Natalia Barley, two co-editors for the Journal, will share about the journal and how to get published in the JLDL. We hope to inform and inspire current students about the opportunities to get published. After the presentation, there will be time for Q&A.

Aurore Bargat is a doctoral student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the Education Policy, Organization & Leadership program with a Learning Design and Leadership concentration. She serves as co-editor for the Journal of Learning Design and Leadership.
Natalia Barley, Ed.D., is a co-editor for the Journal of Learning Design and Leadership at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She earned her doctoral degree in the Education Policy, Organization & Leadership program with a Learning Design and Leadership concentration at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020.
The Journal of Learning Design and Leadership (JLDL) seeks to publish thoughtful, well-researched literature reviews that engage contemporary education innovations, issues, and opportunities. The JLDL is modeled on the student-managed Harvard Educational Review and AERA’s review-focused Review of Educational Research. The journal focuses on relevant topics in formal or informal educational environments within P-12, higher education, the workplace, the community, families, and throughout our everyday lives. The journal is particularly interested in works that engage topics of learning design, educational technology, globalization, and learner diversity, and the intersection, manifestation, and innovation of these areas. Additionally, this journal publishes original case studies and educational technology evaluations supported by empirical data.
