LDL: Foundations of eLearning Higher Education

Foundations of eLearning in Higher Education (LDL:EL) is designed to enable the understanding of the design, development, evaluation, and management of eLearning programs and systems across organizations. Students in this program will earn a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Education Policy, Organization and Leadership with a concentration in Learning Design and Leadership.

Typical Plan of Study (minimum 64 hours)

Required Courses

16 hours

4 electives from LDL or other programs

16 hours

Courses selected in consultation with your advisor.

4 courses from outside the LDL program area, including 2 Research Methods courses

16 hours

Qualifying Exams

0 - 8 hours

With advisor approval, students may take the above courses OR 8 credits of EPOL 595 Independent study for their qualifying exams.
