10th Annual College of Education Graduate Student Conference:

The Urgency of Now: A Clear Call to Action

Both in-person and online presentation proposals will be considered where the primary investigators are Graduate Students (other collaborators need not be graduate students). A limited number of travel awards will be made to authors presenting in person based on distance traveled and judged quality of submission. Submissions can be for either works in progress or finished original scholarship.

Submissions should follow these guidelines:

  • The submission should be a Word file
  • Abstracts submissions should describe developing (works in progress) and finished original scholarship and be between 300-500 words in length
  • The abstract should include the following:
    1. A clear statement of the main point or argument of the paper; 
    2. A description of the problem or research question being studied;
    3. The relevance of the submission to the theme The Urgency of Now: A Clear Call to Action
    4. A brief description of the methodological approach (actual or expected)
    5. Findings (actual or expected)
    6. Conclusions and/or implications of the research (actual or expected)
  • In addition to the abstract, please include
    • references (actual or expected)
    • 3 to 5 keywords
    • any technology needs
    • author preferences for in-person or online presentation
  • Do not include any identifying information with your submission 
  • Submissions should be submitted by January 28, 2019
