 for Equity &amp\; Inclusion and the Multnomah-Clackamas Regional Educator 
 Network. She is a former K-8 educator and has collaborated with district l
 eaders\, administrators\, and educators from school districts across the P
 acific Northwest. Her work focuses on the theory and praxis of retaining t
 eachers of color through professional development. She is dedicated to adv
 ocating for educational equity and disrupting and dismantling the systems 
 that perpetuate the marginalization of students and teachers of color. She
  recently earned her Doctor of Education in Education Policy\, Organizatio
 n and Leadership with a concentration in Diversity and Equity in Education
  from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).Wendy Spencer&
 nbsp\;received a B.S. in Education from the University of Wisconsin Whitew
 ater with a major in English Education and a minor in Special Education. S
 he recently received her Master of Education from the University of Illino
 is at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in Education Policy\, Organization and Leade
 rship with a concentration in Diversity and Equity in Education. Wendy pre
 viously taught English at Indian Trail High School and Academy in Kenosha\
 , Wisconsin. Her experience also includes teaching Oral English at Southwe
 st University in Chongqing\, China\, for two years as a Peace Corps volunt
 eer. Wendy currently works at UIUC as a Program Coordinator with Global Ed
 ucation and Training\, a unit under Illinois International that provides t
