Process for Linking Tutors with Teachers.

Teachers are approached once the coordinator has student volunteers availability information.

Orientation Provided

The Volunteer Coordinator holds a formal meeting and a one-on-one meeting with students if they can't attend the meeting.

Describe the Procedure for Signing up for Tutoring

All students must complete and submit a volunteer application and background clearance form to the volunteer coordinator. Once clearance is recieved, the coordinator will contact the student and invite them to an orientation. Students are then placed with a teacher/classroom. They are required to sign in/out of the Volunteer Notebook in the main office. If for some reason they are unable to attend their scheduled volunteer time, they are required to contact both the coordinator and the teacher.  A summary of your rights under the FCRA is availble online.
