Process for Linking Tutors with Teachers.
Typically, the coordinator takes the student's specific hours of availability and grade preference(s) to teachers and makes a match.
Orientation Provided
The Volunteer Coordinator holds a formal meeting and a one-on-one meeting with students if they can't attend the meeting.
Speech and Hearing service learning class has two orientations planned on January 27; one at 12:30 and another at 2 p.m. Other sessions are handled on an individual basis.
Describe the Procedure for Signing up for Tutoring
The coordinator is flexible in these procedures. Students typically email the coordinator and in response the volunteer application and criminal background checks are emailed to the student. Once they've cleared the background check I contact them to schedule an orientation if they have not already attended one.

Tutoring in the classroom.
Subjects Needed
- Music - 8-11:30 a.m. and 12:20-2:10 p.m.
- 1st grade - 8-11:50 a.m. and 12:20-2:10 p.m.
- Special Education - 8-9:30 a.m. & 11:40 a.m. -12:50 p.m.
