Inje University collaborates with University of Illinois
University of Illinois Department of Special Education
and
Inje University Department of Special Education
Student Exchange Program
The Department of Special Education has a reciprocal student exchange program with the Department of Special Education at Inje University located in Busan, Korea. Each academic year Illinois may send up to 5 exchange students to Inje University and Inje University may send up to 5 exchange students to Illinois.
Exchange students attend a university class each day for four weeks. Through course readings, lectures, discussions, and site visits students learn about the history of special education services and practices in that country. Exchange students also visit schools and agencies to observe current special education services and supports for persons with a variety of disabilities.
This exchange program offers students from both universities a wonderful opportunity to meet special education majors from another culture and learn about the special education system in a different country. The exchange program provides students with a more global perspective about the field of special education.
